A delegation from the General
Union of Workers in Spinning and Weaving – Southern Governorates visited the workshop of Al-Najd Development Forum to learn about the “Cash for Work” project implemented by the forum in partnership with Global Communities.
The visit comes as part of following up on the project’s progress and assessing its impact on empowering affected women. The delegation reviewed the nature of work inside the workshop, including activities related to recycling flour sacks and transforming them into usable products, in a step that promotes sustainability and optimal use of available resources.
The delegation praised the importance of such initiatives in alleviating difficult economic conditions and strengthening the resilience of Palestinian families—especially women—amid the complex humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, commending the forum’s efforts in providing temporary job opportunities that contribute to improving livelihoods.
