Al-Najd Development Forum conducts a series of awareness workshops for women in the northern Gaza Strip

The Al-Najd Development Forum, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), conducted a series of awareness workshops targeting women in the northern Gaza Strip, specifically in the Jabalia and Beit Lahia areas. This initiative is part of the Forum's ongoing efforts to reduce gender-based violence and enhance the protection of women amidst the challenging humanitarian conditions. The workshops addressed several key awareness topics, focusing on promoting women's rights, methods of protection from various forms of violence, the dangers of online extortion and prevention mechanisms, and safe online practices. The workshops also addressed the issue of economic violence resulting from the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip and its impact on women and families. At the conclusion of the meetings, health kits were distributed to the participants, in a step aimed at supporting them health-wise and psychologically, and enhancing their resilience, in line with the program’s objectives of providing a safe and supportive environment for women in the most affected communities.
